Holiday Gift Giveaway Hop

Christmas is coming! It’s my favorite time of year. The focal point for our family is, of course, Christ’s birth. However there are many other wonderful aspects that we enjoy as well. Decorations, gifts, good food, family & friends, warm season spirits of giving  sharing…

{In fact, today is December 1st and we’re decorating, starting our advent calendars and also our Jesse tree!!}

While I’d love to give a Christmas gift to all my readers, that isn’t possible. I would like to give one lucky reader an early Christmas gift though.

    • Being a SAHM is pretty rewarding, awesome, frustrating, overwhelming and an incredible blessing isn’t it? It’s always nice to know someone else is going through the same things too!

    • I love the convenience of Amazon but did you know Book Depository offers free shipping on every book, regardless of price – no min. order and no tax? I have to admit, I’ve been doing a lot of shopping there lately. I’d have offered the gift card to there but they don’t have gift certificates. They’re pretty awesome though. Check them out!

    our speaciale Christmas thing we do is called ADORNAMENTS it was an accopanying childs book called what Nick and Holly fournd in the attic….each night we read it and take turns hanging the ornament on the tree. Our older boys take turns also reading the devotion on the inside of the ornament!! It is the BEST christmas gift I ever got our adornaments.

  201. I love letting my kids help put the Christmas ornaments on and seeing the concentrated spots and the empty spots!

    • @ Tamera -we decorated our tree this morning. My littles are 2 and 3; the bottom from of the tree has multiple ornaments on each branch. The sides and top are bare. I’m leaving it like that because it makes me laugh. I think most of us can relate!!

  205. One of my favorite Christmas ornaments are handones I made. Each ornament is a picture of a family member(s) in between glass and taped with Silver Foil Copper tape. On the backside of the ornament I put decorative paper and write who is in the picture and the date (if I have one)

  279. I love Christmas! We have a 13ft x 3.5ft Christmas village display that my mother has put up every year for more than 25yrs. My father bought her the first houses as a Christmas gift and now it has grown to over 20 houses and “stores” with a river, skating pond, two trains, and a carousel and of course 6 miniature Nativity scenes!   526. the one story i never forgot about regarding christmas was the one my mom told me about how one year we had no money and couldn’t afford any presents and so everyone in our extended family purchased gifts and mailed them out “from Santa”. our tree was a little two foot tall thing, the only one we could afford from the store, and it sat on a corner table in the livingroom. all there was was that table and a couch and a broken tv. it was a nice christmas as i remember it. but that story really lived in me for many years until one year i fell on a hard time and my friends and family came together and were Santa for me. now every year i find a friend or family member who is having a hard time so i can help be Santa.

    it matters, you know. helping that magic stay alive matters.

    I’m hoping that the snow here doesn’t get any worse or I might not be able to get to my sisters house christmas morning.
    My neice is nearly 6 and I have been there every christmas morning to watch her open her presents, or drool on them when she was younger.
